Excellent corrosion resistance
HS S136 steel with molding die design can resist water, water vapor, weak organic acid, diluted nitrate, carbonate, etc.
Molds using S136 steel or equivalent will not be rusty or contaminated for operation in humid environments, or the use of corrosive plastic materials under normal conditions.
Compared with other die steel products, HS S136 steel can particularly show excellent corrosion resistance when tempered at low temperatures and polished to a mirror state.

HS S136 steel is a corrosion-resistant mirror plastic mold steel produced by ASSAB. It is a medium carbon high chromium stainless steel with excellent corrosion resistance, high hardness after quenching and tempering, and excellent polishing performance. The S136 steel equivalent material is AISI 420 / DIN 1.2083 / JIS SUS420 / M310 from BOHLER / S-STAR from DAIDO.
